Through a successful funding bid to the Shetland Community Led Local Development Fun 2023/2024 for the Active Winter Sessions, Ability Shetland were able to deliver a Festive Drop In as part of the funding.
On Friday the 29th of December Ability Shetland held a Festive Drop In at the Quoys Church in Lerwick from 10am-4pm.
Over the festive period, there is often a lot of change to people's routines and many activities are off for the holidays. This Festive Drop In provided a warm space for anyone to come along, socialise, and have a hot drink and soup.
We had 28 people come to our Festive Drop In, with many saying it had been the highlight of their day. With the drop in being such a success, Ability Shetland are planning to offer the same in 2024.
