We were delighted to have Keira on a six week placement with us through Developing the Young Workforce - Shetland.
Keira decided to spend her time volunteering at the Shetland Boccia Club where she achieved all her aims for the placement, this included building her confidence and starting to lead parts of sessions. She even refereed at our recent Shetland Boccia Competition! This ended up being one of her highlights from the placement, which was watching two experienced players from the club go head to head in a match.
Alongside her placement, Keira has also gained 15 hours volunteering towards her Saltire Award, attending Disability Inclusion training and has gained her PVG.
