On the 20th of August 2022, Leona was Shetland's first ever boccia player to travel off island to compete. Her first boccia tournament was in Perth. Leona had three tough games in her group against players who have played nationally and internationally. She secured two well deserved points and has learnt a lot.
"I enjoyed it and meet people I didn't know" Leona.
